I attended the first round of this sale last month. I uncovered that
device in the basement. I don't know the Teletype model # but the mil
designation on the label was "AN/FGQ-2", which I was not able to find
an exact match for online. The people running the sale insisted on
googling and researching every unpriced item. Eventually they came up
with $250 for that item, which obviously I took a pass on.
They told us that they had yet to spelunk into the attic, so that must
be where the other TTY equipment was hiding.
There was an insane amount of Motorola, HP, Tektronix and other gear
in this house. Radios, test equipment, and so much documentation.
There were no visible signs of anyone having actually lived in it
(though the new photos show clothes...maybe he lived in the attic?)
The stuff is in *every* room.
Motorola, anyone? https://imgur.com/awGrrM2
As others have noted, they're not really pricing to sell. Hopefully
on the last day they'll gain some sense. It's about an hour away from
me but I'm unlikely to be able to make this round. I can't see how
they'll avoid doing a third sale if they don't lower some prices.
