    You're thinking of an induction motor, which slips
a bit relative to the line frequency. A synchronous
motor, once out of starting mode, locks to the power
line and maintains its rated speed for the rated
line frequency. Synchronous motors for 60Hz power
are always 3600 RPM divided by the number of poles.
So, 1800 RPM means 1800 RPM.
