[GreenKeys] Radio dial scale...

There is a product sold at AutoZone. Darn, I can't remember the name - something with "magic". It is a polishing compound.
I used it on my wife's car (headlights) several years ago and they came out like new.
The only downside: you have to put a little bit elbow grease into the project - but well worth it !

Please keep us updated with the progress and post some pics from before n' after. I like all these little restoration hints, tips and tricks.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Radio dial scale...

Hi all!

I realize this post is somewhat off-topic,
am hoping some of you radio guys have a solution/suggestion
for my scuffed (Plastic) dial scale...

I recently purchased a communications receiver from an on-line auction site,
the pictures provided by the seller didn’t show the magnitude
of the problem with the “Scuffing” and light scratches on the surface
of the dial scale...

Have any of you had any degree of luck with plastic polishing
and/or refinishing products, which may be able to polish out
the scuff marks in the plastic finish without damaging it further?

Fortunately, the printing on the dial scale is on the back side,
so no danger removing any printing...

The scuffing is not deep, but does make readability of several areas
of the scale difficult, due to the cloudy appearance on the dial surface...

Hopefully, there is a worthy product out there of as much of a non-abrasive
nature as possible, as I don’t want to worsen the problem...

Thanks for any help/recommendations...

Cheers & 73’
