[GreenKeys] Chad boxes

The reason that it was printed as an angle was to minimize supports. If you were to print it completely vertical then you would waste a lot of material making supports so that the bottom (or top depending on orientation) didn't droop. By running at the angle, each subsequent layer is mostly supported by the previous layer, even going up to the roof and you end up with a clean print with minimal wasted material for supports.

For us new to 3D printing do you know how the part was oriented on the print bed? I'm guessing not horizontal as that would require supports. My guess would be at an angle such that no surface had more that a 45 degree offset from the vertical. Do you know, or could you ask him. I've only had my 3D print for a little over a year, but I'm still learning.

This is the Chad box that a good friend of mine 3D printed and works really nice

So I showed my buddy a picture of the chad box that is used on the 32/33 machines and told him that was another part that was not easy to find anymore. He said that it’s a totally doable object (it would just be a bit shorter like half height which is probably fine)
If it’s something that might be of value to the group he would need an example to make a copy and send back.
Heck he might even be able to make key caps, 3D printing is a miracle of modern production.
Just a thought.
