Partially success.

As it transpired, there is something fishy with the selector magnet amplifier card, need to investigate this more closer.

(I got the function all the way wrong first, I thought the selector should engage when something was supposed to be typed, anyway, now I understand it more)

Now it is purring like a cat.

Keyboard works, etc.

There is however still a couple things that need to be looked at.

 

I have lost the nut that holds the type-head, anyone that has a clue what it is, guessing it is an UNC/UNF-thread something.

I am missing the plastic thingy on the back of the friction feeder, suppose it has to do with linefeed, seen it replaced with some vinyl hose or something, what size should be used.

 

It does not do CR nor LF, when I press the CR button, nothing happens, apart from some sort of reaction, same thing with linefeed. Reaction means that the clutches are engaged etc.

 

One other thing, I really don’t understand the Answer back drum, is it supposed to rotate? If so, when?

Dont remove the mainshaft.  Go to

and follow the instructions of troubleshooting a 33 running open.   

 

The white plastic Here Is tab goes under the keyboard below the Here Is key metal extension.  You can see it partially in the second pic. 

 

Is the machine running open (chattering) or is it printing random characters?
