Ralph, yours is actually what I followed to do mine! Same eBay board and everything. I'm not fully sure if it runs open or closed. The volpe board shows a loop (green light off) with everything wired up and then the light goes off (no loop) when I hit break on the teletype. I'm not sure how else to test. Zach W8ZZW
