Thanks - I do have Mike's adapter and it works well for computer communications. I am still interested in getting the Volpe board to work in a similar scenario. One of the things which interested me in the Volpe board is the USB interface. Also the programmability.I just want to expand my toolkit/knowledge so thought it would be a good project to figure out how to use the Volpe board for a 33/computer connection. At this point what I'm thinking is somehow connect the Volpe board TTY side in the same way the Mike Douglas adapter TTY side connects. I have to fill in that gap somehow.KenSent from my Samsung Galaxy Note®|PRO, an AT&T 4G LTE tablet

Mike’s little gizmo works a treat. In fact I run one on both my 33s for the last year or more.Cheers! Here's another tidbit from Wayne:"One feature the UCC-6 [33 power supply] has is 48 VAC on P2 pins 3 and 4 that can be used to supply AC voltage for a users power supply to generate a current loop."**************So this looks like a way to do it, but for me I wouldn't know where to start. Would need someone to spell it out for me.KenOn Sat, Sep 14, 2019, at 14:12, Jordan Spencer Cunningham wrote:All,I forgot to mention-- should you run into trouble not addressed by the documentation, definitely feel free to ask questions. I'll do my best.Ken,It sounded like the M33s (or was yours a 32?) had a built-in current loop, but I just haven't dealt with anything newer than a M19 and so can't say for certain. So have you confirmed that there for sure isn't a current loop on board?I hope to get a 33 sometime in the future, but that's probably not happening very soon.Should someone be able to confirm one way or the other with these newer machines, I would be glad to publish the info on the documentation page so others can benefit from this knowledge.-Jordan Spencer Cunninghamteletype.netOn Sat, Sep 14, 2019, at 2:54 PM, Ken Wiebe wrote:Thanks, Jordan. What would be really appreciated for me, and possibly others, would be documentation covering connection of the board to a single TTY where there currently (no pun intended) is no current loop.I'm still struggling with this. There were some posts recently but the discussion quickly went over my head. I really need a step-by-step hand-holding in this area.Anyone so inclined? Thanks again!KenOn Sat, Sep 14, 2019, at 13:46, Jordan Spencer Cunningham wrote:Hi all,As a general announcement, most of the info I wanted to get up on the Volpe Boards I've had manufactured is available at https://teletype.net/display/TEL/Volpe+USB+Interface+Board. I think most people will have received their boards by now-- some may still arrive next week with our international friends a week or so after that. There are still some sections yet to be filled out, and I will be adding videos and such to hopefully help people of all experience levels learn how to use the board. The bulk of the necessary documentation is there, though.I've also migrated the GreenKeys search engine to the same site. The styles for the search engine are a bit messed up for mobile right now making it unusable on mobile-- I'll get that sorted eventually. You can see I have placeholders for a lot of other pages where to share other teletype-related info. Those are just a few things planned. Eventually I'll fill all that in and add even more pages. If there's anything anyone would like to contribute in the future-- from photos to videos to how-to articles or anything else-- I'd be glad to publish it credited to you. Heaven knows I'm a mere amateur compared to most of the people on this list, so I will only be able to share the few things I learn here and there or just link to other sites.-Jordan Spencer Cunninghamteletype.net______________________________________________________________GreenKeys mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeysHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.htmlRandy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.htmlThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.htmlMessage delivered to me at networkguy.com______________________________________________________________GreenKeys mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeysHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.htmlRandy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.htmlThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.htmlMessage delivered to js at teletype.net______________________________________________________________GreenKeys mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeysHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.htmlRandy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.htmlThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.htmlMessage delivered to me at networkguy.com______________________________________________________________GreenKeys mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeysHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.htmlRandy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.htmlThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.htmlMessage delivered to paul0926 at comcast.net______________________________________________________________GreenKeys mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/greenkeysHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:GreenKeys at mailman.qth.net2002-to-present greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/greenkeys/1998-to-2001 greenkeys archive: http://mailman.qth.net/archive/greenkeys/greenkeys.htmlRandy Guttery's 2001-to-2009 GreenKeys Search Tool: http://comcents.com/tty/greenkeyssearch.htmlThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.htmlMessage delivered to kn4ucl at gmail.com
