Has anyone seen a photo or info on an early 1950's automatic device that
would transcribe Morse or other code that was inked onto paper tape? I have
heard of later Morse to Baudot converters but nothing this early and
involving code inked onto paper tape.
I have just scanned the manual for the RD-110/U paper tape Morse code
recorder and came across this interesting paragraph
"The Navy Type RD-110A/U Code, Tape Recorder inscribes an ink trace of
International Morse or similarly coded signals on paper tape suitable for
manual transcription. Automatic transcription from the tape is possible in
conjunction with automatic typewriters and suitable tape-scanning devices.
Info on the RD-110/U is here -

I am still looking for some tape guide pieces to restore mine.
Please feel free to forward this to any person or lists who might have info.
Cheers,
