[GreenKeys] ASR-33 Chattering...and the beginning of an adventure!

Thank ,you to everyone! After a trip to Fry’s electronics this afternoon I installed a 2.2k 2 watt resistor across the dead one and local mode now works (for testing, anyhow).

Punch started to work ok but now I have the tape getting hung up at the punch exit. The earlier ones I’d done seemed to read back ok, but I’m wondering if something is stuck in the paper path. Has anyone seem this problem before...and what’s the best way to clear it?

There may also be a CR/LF issue as when reading a tape back it seems to almost consistently miss the first character. Maybe operator error (-;.

I continue to make progress. Any and all help is much appreciated!

I tried some resistors as a sub but they got hot. Not sure what the wattage is.

I did fix this computer kybd I think. Swapped USB ports and the computer updated the driver.

If you want to make a list of parts you need, I will see what I have on hand. No charge unless I am nearly out or shipping is pricey.

Pics would help with the parts you need. I dont have any extra platen knobs on hand.
