[GreenKeys] OT (just a little bit) De-rusting old mechanical press

I just unearthed an old table-top printing press (approx 10 cu. in.) 
that is composed of many of the same elements as the Model 14-15-19 
Teletype family - cast iron frame, etc.  It is severely rusted, to the 
point that nothing even moves.
I'd like advice as to what would be the best product to use for 
'bathing' the entire device.  I'm thinking that some kind of penetrating 
oil would be a good starting point, but I wonder what other folks have 
found that works.
