[GreenKeys] Parity for five bit Baudot code

Anyone ever hear of five bit Baudot code with a parity bit added?I just came across a FAA manual for a "Type FA-7890 Digital Check Character Generator"It apparently inserted a parity bit into the five bit code from a M14 or M28.I wonder how widespread parity use was with TTYs and if anyone besides FAA used it.Thanks & have funDuncan K2OEQ Sent from my Kleinschmidt TT-4/TG, the US Army's first portable digital communications device, 1950-1980
