[GreenKeys] ZZZZ or ZCZC?

Years ago, on the VOA RTTY circuits, we used FAXFAX as the start of tape punching code.

NNNN was used to turn off the tape punch, but actually, the coding was NNN, but all four Nswere used, in the event of a garble.

I don't remember if the start code was the full FAXFAX or it actually would start on FAX only.
Too far back for me to remember, if I even knew.

Hey all,

I’ve been trying to look this up - hard to come by ;p .  I know at the end of a Teletype message - on some circuits, end of message is NNNN… but what about the beginning?  I’ve seen both ZZZZ and ZCZC… wondering - for those who know, what is the difference between the two ;o ???

Thanks in advance ^^ !~
