I did a quick look at Walmart and Lowe's and they still have some
tungsten filament bulbs, including the tubular kind.

Of course this is relevant only if you are running a real telegraph
office with open wire lines across the countryside and with rotten
insulation where the wire is insulated.   And maybe with all-thumbs
technicians running the switchboard.

Or maybe if your own wiring is not very neat.
