[GreenKeys] [External] Tip on loops

Short of a 'De-Frosting' operation, most fridges and freezers do not have doors open long
enough to create a lot of heat with an incandescent bulb. We also have one in our 15 year+
old stove. It only operates when the oven door is open. This stove/oven has a 'Cleaning
Mode' also. It appears that both the OVEN HEAT loop AND the BROILER HEAT loop are activated
at the same time to literally heat any and burn off all 'crud and junk' which got deposited on
various internal surfaces during baking and broiling. I don't think my wife has done an oven
clean more than 4 times since we got it.
The "Clean" mode has a timer on it. It will not allow the door to be opened for about 30
minutes (or more?) after the cleaning/burnoff cycle has ended. I guess this is to insure that
one will not burn themself by reaching inside too soon.
Both our fridge and oven have incandescents and have NEVER been changed. They may use a
bulb rated for 140 volts in our 115/120V system, to keep the filament intact as long as possible.
As to the lifespan of the bulb inside the oven, I am mystified.
Strictly guesswork here, guys. If I ever have to change one of them I will try to photograph
the 'pull-out' and get its numbers and share here.
