Al and all:

Replacement felts are available from Paul Cembura

mr_rtty at pacbell.net

You will need part numbers to order from him.

Felts use oil - NOT grease.

One of our volunteers at The Radio Technology Museum is a former Western
Union guy who, not only, repaired these things, but also managed and
trained repair technicians.  He's been keeping our Model 19 running for
a while now, and has started in on a Model 15 that was found to be
pretty gummed up. Wednesday, we dug into our storage area, and selected
another 15.

See:   http://rtm.ar88.net/tty/15's_in_shop.jpg

Anyway, he tells me that, while we can probably keep things running by
constant oiling, the real solution is to remove and overhaul the main
shafts.   this was apparently know inside W.U. as "Job 9."

Our question is, where can we get new felt washers and the appropriate
magic grease, to make the clutches work like new again?
