He turned down my offer of $1.00 (which would have also cost me $4.74 for
shipping) and counter offered at $5.00.  I guess you can surmise I answered
with a "NO WAY!"

Didn't cost me anything in the long run to get his attention.  And he would
have made the buck plus the excess on shipping if he had accepted my best
offer.
