Welcome to the list Ken. I'm sure everyone is happy to have your expertise aboard.

Many of the super active members have gone off to Dayton, Ohio to the HAMVENTION there
which lasts through Sunday. They coordinated a meeting point and are exchanging the
teletype gear they hauled up there.

A note on the digest mode: don't use it. It is moderated for technical reasons (such as preventing
someone from replying to a message and trailing the whole digest underneath it.). Just use the
normal list mode.

Our moderator is a super guy but very busy. If you try to contact him just be patient and he will
get back to you.

Enjoy the list !

Cheers,

Hi,

I'm a computer and computer networking guy, data comm hobbyist I guess, located in Tacoma, WA USA.

I'm excited to be a member of this list. I read a bit of the archives and it looks like a friendly place with lots of useful and interesting info!

I've recently got into vintage computing. What led me here is TTY interest. Speaking of, I would love to get my hands on a 33 or 35 ASR. I'm in the market and willing to drive a reasonable distance to get one. Other models also potentially interested.

Looking forward to participating and if you all could keep me in mind if you run across an ASR needing a new home I'd very much appreciate.

Thanks,

Ken
