[GreenKeys] I-Telex Update

My teletype mentor Steve, N4TTY came over here today and helped me to install the new firmware update.

A big  " THANK'S "  to him and a gigantic  " THANK'S "  of course to the German iTelex group, geeks and propeller-heads to develop this new version.

The result of today's operation is that my Siemens machine is reborn, up and running and connected to iTelex system again after suffering from an ugly connectivity challenge.

This is what we mailed to Kevin W5TTY in Texas who is also in need of a
solution for non public IPs.
If you don't have success with a 38.4k or 9.6k speed try 4800 baud. It takes some more time
but works ALWAYS from my experience.

Steve, generally for you is no software with the new feature needed. The new feature is only needed for
members without public IP numbers. The better way is always a direct communication between
the i-Telex stations without need of a "central exchange server".

Henning forwarded your message to me.

The update is quite simple as long as you have a windows pc next to your i-telex.

Download the zip-file from

http://www.telexupdate.de/ethernet/update.zip

This file includes the instructions in the file updateEN.txt

If you have a mac with IOS there is also a possibility to update the i-telex.

And the third way would be an Atmel (compatibe) programming adaptor.

Unfortunately it’s not possible to du the update without an external equipment.
