[GreenKeys] M28 gears - nylon vs steel/fiber

I have resurrected a 28KSR that has the nylon gearshift installed. The
typing unit has a fiber driven gear. Is this a Bad Thing? Should a nylon
driving gear always require a nylon driven gear?

Another 28KSR has the steel gearshift driving a fiber gear and it certainly
seems quieter/smoother...
