[GreenKeys] 170 shift to 850 shift converter??

Some years ago when I had a similar situation I soldered alligator clips onto a capacitor and clipped it across the space inductor to lower the space filter resonant frequency (I determined the appropriate capacitance using a decade cap box).  Is that a possibility for this TU?  Unclipping the added cap restores the unit to original condition.
