[GreenKeys] Tape Gear

So as I said earlier in an email where it was off topic ...

I had been assuming that I really didn't need any tape gear.  I saw the 
amazement from the younger generation over the weekend.  You can't 
really tell the whole story with stuff coming from the internet through 
your PC.

One of the reasons I had nixed tapr gear was the large size and weight 
of an ASR.  And that seems to be what's being offered (at the other ends 
of the country).

So to get to my question (finally).  Do any stand alone reporfs and 
readers ever show up?  I do see an LXD for %85.00 on the 'bay, but 
that's still short a base, motor and cover from what I can tell (the 
picture is an export/military box that says LXD on it)
