Hi All,

Thank you. I responded and am waiting on an answer. I am not trying to be piggy, if anyone on the list would like this let me know. I am simply trying to rescue one more TTY from the scrap heap. If no one else wants it, I will try to restore it to working order, but that is iffy as I no longer have a Teletype guru to turn to in the area.

I bought my old cantankerous Model 15 AT the scrap yard when I went to drop of an engine block. There was this methhead that was shaking so bad... he had the Model 15 stuffed in the trunk of his car... I asked him how much he wanted and he said just enough to get a "quarter". I do not use drugs except what the doctor tells me to take, so I had no idea what he wanted. I asked again how much, and he said 25 dollars. I bought it from him on the spot. He could not lift it and he was a good 25 years younger than me. I put it in my truck, and the late Jack Hart cleaned it, lubricated it and adjusted it for me.
I found out later from a police officer that a "quarter" is 1/4 gram of meth-amphetamine. He told me that because he was shaking so bad, that he had to have been awake for at least four or five days. I cannot imagine. I like being able to go to bed at night after playing radio, and sleeping like a log until 6:30 in the morning. I could never do that to my body, but I digress.
73,
Joe KB0TXCNNNN

 Spotted this on Craig's list:

<https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ele/d/shawnee-mission-28c-teletype/6921307098.html>

What: 28 KSR
Where: Kansas City  (Shawnee Mission ?)
Price: Not specified
Condition: A bit moldy.  Otherwise looks fairly good from outside.  Only
one pic.

Usual disclaimers: Not mine, don't know who this is, don't know what it
smells like, just passing it along so maybe someone can keep it in use
before it goes to landfill.
