[GreenKeys] KSR35 : What kind of motor is this?

With a synchronous motor, the speed is determined by power frequency.
With regard to voltage, almost any 50 cycle motor can be run on 60
cycles, but the speed will be higher and gearing needs to be changed.
Operating a 60 cycle motor on 50 can sometimes cause overheating. The
synchronous motors in teleprinters are often designed to get every bit
of power out of the smallest package, and operating one on a lower
frequency at the higher frequency voltage will usually cause
overheating. Reducing the voltage proportionally is usually all that is
needed to avoid overheating- use 5/6 of the 60 cycle voltage. Speed has
to be addressed with gearing changes.
