[GreenKeys] KSR35 : What kind of motor is this?

The motor is synchronous with split phase starting if there is no start
capacitor or capacitor start if there is. Capacitor start gives higher
starting torque, but split phase is less expensive and gives a more
gentle start. The black disc activates the the start switch, it will
snap toward the fan when the speed is sufficient. The brass weights you
see close to the fan move outward at speed, and warp the black metal
ring. It changes shape in a snap, and pulls the black plastic ring
toward the fan. This releases the pressure on the brown lever that is
attached to the start switch. This design is used on many makes of
motors, and in almost every case the ring does not touch the lever when
the motor is at speed. Does the motor refuse to start, or overheat?
