For the selector magnet to register the correct mark, the coil
current should be as close to 60 mA as possible.
See 1st image: this is with a 120 v supply and series resistor.
Note that on the 2nd image, at 10 mS (which is where the
selector decides if it's mark or space) the current is only 24
mA.?? And yes, it will print garbage.
3rd image: 48 v is about as low as you can go and still have
a reasonable chance at good copy.
