OK, This is a new one on me. I always thought a M32 would only have 3 rows.
I haven't ever seen a M32 up close and personal, but I sure would like to
know how a 4-row 5-level keyboard works. To my surprise the keyboard parts
manual shows both a 3-row and 4-row key cover.
AHA - The 32 keyboard lubrication manual shows a a 3-row keyboard - annnnd,
wait for it - also a 4-row, 5-level keyboard with a LTRS-FIGS detent
mechanism.
So LTRS locks out the top row and FIGS locks out the QWERTY row.
The 32 keyboard parts book shows the usual Q/1 key as well as Q-only key
and 1-only keys.
Well swoggle my horns!
Every day is a grand day when you learn something new about Teletypes!
Cheers!
