Before appl;ying power to motor, connect to loop, prwss a key and turn motor by hand (CW) to see that it is basically working.

See TM 11-5815-206-34 (http://rattrig.com/manuals/tm's.htm) for lubrication details.

Basically, make sure all felts are well oiled (SAE 20 wt) and all gears & cams are greased (Lucas Red & Tacky)

Let it run awhile to loosen things up and distribute the lubes before making any adjustments.

 have fun & good luck.

I am planning to bring out a TT-4 to our club's field day for receiving the Arrl bulletin. This TT-4 has not seen  service in decades. Any advise regarding lubrication and other maintenance would be appreciated.
