Guessing that these are 50 baud machines compared to the 45.45 baud standard here in the states. Maybe you have a multiple speed machine like my 28KSR - that would be cool and definitely helpful in different application use.

I acquired one of these which would only light the red STO LED on applying power.
I was able to trace the problem to a shorted tantalum capacitor on the MotTr
board which was preventing one of the power supply rails from coming up.
The unit is now working nicely. I can print, punch and read tape.
Next I will try and get it to communicate with something else. It would be
interesting to be able to get the Baud rate to match to what is used by hams.
