Back in the 1960's when I was still 4X4UL, I had a Siemens T100, and also an Olivetti (forgot the model number) in Hebrew, surplused from the IDF. At the time, being in the IDF myself (1964-1974), I remember using the T100's, but the Olivettis were out by the time I started my service, and the oldest T100's were gradually surplused. For English, I got a Model 15 surplused from the Israeli Postal Service as they were upgrading to more modern models.
The Olivetti was a strange machine, as the carriage moved like a typewriter's carriage and the type bar basket was stationary.
A short note about Hebrew and Yiddish: Although Yiddish is written with Hebrew characters, it is basically 16th century German, mixed with some Hebrew and Slavic words. There is also a third language, which is written with Hebrew characters: Ladino - it is mostly 15th century Spanish, with some Hebrew mixed in. Yiddish and Ladino are not official languages in Israel, they are cultural heritage of the Diaspora.
