[GreenKeys] Equipment

Hey Paul

Interesting timing - I NEED to thin out my fleet because of lack of space. I am very close to make up my mind what will stay and what can go. I already need a compass and a truffle-pig to navigate through my stuff in order to find what I am looking for sometimes.

I was thinking about to keep only my two 28KSR's - everything else - yes, everything else NEEDS TO GO.

A detailed list will be posted here next week and I also make the equipment available on Craigslist and eBay and of course to local clubs.

Unfortunately, I can't be a depot but I probably go on a trip next month and could transport some stuff. My rout: Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Tucson - going back through Las Cruces, Dallas and Shrevport.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Equipment

Greetings fellow Greenkeyers.

We are approaching an interesting dilemma. Equipment is becoming available and there may be limited to no interest in it. What is the alternative? Dare I say the word — landfill? And what if someone comes along in six months new to our group? They won’t be able to get anything if it is all “gone”.

Some of us (me included) are trying to save what we can for future members, tucking things away in our houses or storage sheds. But the scary reality seems to be that interest in mechanical hardware is fading. How many future members will there be? Will we get to a point where nobody wants this equipment that we hold in high regard?

To that end, I am volunteering to assemble a list of who wants what and try to get that to those who have equipment. I’d like to start with whole items (teletypes, repress, modems/TUs etc) and NOT get into parts (copy holders, chad boxes, etc) at this time.

For those who are looking for something (whole items), I’d be glad to put on on this list and serve as a broker for those trying to dispose of equipment (including the estates of those who have passed on). Please feel free to contact me on or off-list with your wishes and indicate if you are wanting these times fully restored, in working condition, in unknown or not working condition (where you are planning to do the restoration work).
