Thank you guy's for all the responses about my mylar tape project. I will look deeper into it and keep you guy's updated. I may find some tape, cut it to size and punch a tape with a very short message like "welcome to the ............. ham-fest 20....." I can use over and over for that particular event.
Thanks again and keep hammering,

Subject: [GreenKeys] Mylar tape
Good morning
Not sure if this subject came up here on the list before but I am asking anyways.
Is mylar tape usable in our hobby?
I usually prepare some paper tapes on my iron horse for demo's at HamFest's and other shows, but they get worn out pretty quickly. I'm thinking to use mylar instead paper (just for the demo's, not for regular use).
Will it work? ..... on my iron horse and on the 14TD?
I have never seen mylar tape in person, don't know the properties about that material.
If usable, where can I obtain 11/16th tape?
I looked on the www (world wide wait) :-) , but it's all colorful, decorative tap and mostly with adhesive like regular scotch tape.
