    GR made an acoustic trigger for the Strobotac. I think it 
could be triggered from a vibration analyzer too.
    The acoustic trigger used a microphone and was the method 
used for single extremely high speed exposures using the 
Microflash. GR illustrates this with a bullet penetrating part 
way through a sheet of glass.
