[GreenKeys] Removing a Model 33 from its stand?

It’s very easy Tom. Wayne taught me how. You need to remove the panel cover in the base to see if there is a power supply or RS-232 interface in there. If so, you disconnect it. There are four screws that hold the teletype to the base. Take three out and then twist the teletype so that it is angled on top of the base and stable. Then you take the fourth one out. That way it won’t fall off its base. Just make sure the weight is balanced as you take that last screw out. Then just lift it off. It’s best lifted from the back.
One you have it off, don’t set it on any kind of surface you are concerned about because it will scratch the hell out of the surface.
