Many moons ago, I restored an older model Ford Mustang convertible with a tremendous help from a friend. We literally soaked several plastic/vinyl parts over night in Armor-All and every single piece came out of the bath like new.
Having said that, we have to put into consideration that many different plastic-, vinyl- and rubber-products are enhanced with different chemicals and therefore the reaction with many products (i.g. Armor-All) could have different effects - the same effect different cleaners have on different materials sometimes.
What ever you do, try out the product of your choice on a very small and not so visible area first.
Long story short, watch out for chemical reactions - I learned my lesson.

Just saying !!!

Teletype used vinyl (I am guessing) tubing to bundle wiring. Besides turning yellow and fungusy, it often has hardened with almost no flexibility.
Has anyone tried Armor-All or some other magic elixir to help this tubing regain its lost youth?
Suggestions welcome.
