    I mentioned bread because my experience when I have 
occasional infestations of mice/rats is that they go for bread. 
Will chew off the wrappers and stuff their little faces with it.
    They also like peanut butter but that is not usually 
accessible to them. In baiting traps plain bread seems to work as 
well as anything although I usually use both bread and peanut 
butter. I won't use sticky traps although they seem effective 
(many work places use them), I just can't face finding the little 
guy alive and having to drown them. Actually, I don't like 
killing anything.
