You noticed that :-)

They're part of a (complete but partly disassembled) Hammond C-3 
tonewheel church organ.  (Off-topic question:  the Hammond uses a
"Rotodyne 2000" Leslie rotary speaker knockoff.  If anyone knows 
anything about such a speaker, drop me a note offlist.  Even 
Google-the-all-knowing has never heard of it.)

This is a loft, after all (the former hay loft of what was originally
a barn - now re-covered and insulated).  If you have a loft in a
building with a 24 foot ceiling, and an organ, well ... it's pretty
clear where the organ should go!  (even if it has nothing to do with
the printing/typecasting/tts/tty equipment which fills the
rest of the building)
