The Electrocom units are soldered sealed shut.  I suppose they could beopened if necessary, but I suspect the amount of heat needed would causesome problems inside.
Wayne, what are the dimensions of the filters you found?

They looked a bit familiar and I thought they might be from the old ELECTROCOM  TUsof the last century.  After looking the photo over I went and found my Electrocomunit and pulled the filters.  They are about 2" square and 3" tall, plus the pinson the bottom.

I don't have a 'pin-out' so little way now to tell if they might be interchangeable.In the Electrocom, they are snug together with no room in between.
