Well... I just thought I'd pass on some information about the ribbons for
the TTY Model 43 printer. I tried a few things that failed and one that
works well. In fact it worked for me and Gab Egan. I found a ribbon supplier
that was willing to make me a ribbon. It worked in both my and Gab's
machines. I had to have 6 ribbons made as a minimum order and they were
about $10 US each. I have two spares that anyone could have for $10 each. If
you would like to order your own from the supplier here is the address and
telephone number.

I talked to MIA.
I told them I wanted a 1/4 inch nylon ribbon, bonded together for a
continuous loop at 38 1/2 inches. And they pre-inked them. I know that the
original loop was 39 inches, but that loop size was too big for my machine.
You should probably accurately measure yours and adjust the length of the
loop. On my machine I have plenty of room for the ribbon to stretch as the
old ribbons I have. Once you have the ribbon just thread it into the box,
mount it in the machine and off you go. It worked for me, good luck
