M43 Buffered KSR (Half Duplex Batch Only)
I have foolishly gotten one of these (for $5 plus shipping) - It looks like
it may be salvagable but I don't know for sure. It is friction feed which
is nice.

This is a Teletype Custom Products Division CP43.015.000 but I can't find
any sticker as to who was the customer. Label photos

It also has a normal Teletype 4340/BAD tag which has been painted over
http://www.navy-radio.com/tty/m43/IMG_E3099.JPG
It also evidently has 5 special EPROMs in the controller - oh boy!

The keyboard looks mostly like other 43BSR I have seen in manuals. Keyboard
photo is at

some other quick photos are at http://www.navy-radio.com/tty/m43/

Before I spend any more time on it, it would be nice to know if it could
actually do anything useful! - What does "Half Duplex Batch Only" mean?
That you can only operate in some batch mode when running Half Duplex? or ?
It looks like it will do regular S/R in Full Duplex so it may indeed be
useful.

Does anyone have 490M ("How to Operate" this custom machine) ?
And/or 430M (Operators manual for M43 Half Duplex Batch Only )
I'll need to see how to set options, etc.

I do have 489M "Installation and Routine Servicing for Tabletop Buffered
KSR (Half Duplex Batch Only CP43.015.000)". Here's the PDF in case you are
curious-

Yours in teletypery,
