Nick, I walked by a certain recvr that interested me several times and heard it crying. It was after you left, that I would take one more look
and it had the pitiful cry of take me home. It matches the one that I have but the lower freqs of 30-300 MHz as the one that is on the shelf
at home is the 225- 1000 Mhz. I think that the IF out is Is the same for the panadaptor that I no longer have.

Subject: [GreenKeys] 28KSR hamfest find

There I was walking among the tailgaters at the Shelby NC hamfest on Friday, when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a floor model 28KSR.
Didn't look too bad, so just out of curiosity (I don't need another 28), I reached in and spun the motor around - a little old-grease resistance at first but then the typing unit began cycling and the hammer whacking away OK (Naahh, I don't need another 28) . Hmm, hold down the keyboard unlock and hit a key and the code bars are clicking and the keyboard cycle is working nicely (Really, I don't need another 28) .

Then the tailgater came over and said "How about $25?"
Sooo....Here it is being unloaded at home yesterday -

And when I opened up the lower compartment I found a lagniappe of two thick notebooks of 28 manuals and a bag full of nylon speed change gears. Sweet!

By the way, a friend gave me a dozen or so rolls of canary paper - let me know if you have been looking - Limit 1 or 2 per customer, but at least you'll have some traditional canary for show and tell. As usual, priority goes to those who have been helpful to other greenkeyers, and/or have an amusing/interesting reason. You pay postage from 27514 or I'll deliver to Lawrenceville GA hamfest.

Cheers,
Nick England K4NYW
