[GreenKeys] Computer Control of an ASR Mod33 Teletype Punch

The "official" teletype way of doing this was an optional bar that installed
under the code bars (see part number 183567 in the attached page).    This
bar could be controlled by one of two solenoids depending on the option
installed.   One solenoid could be controlled by a DC2 / DC4 received, the
other by a local switch mounted on the panel or on the interface cable.    I
looked at duplicating this a couple years ago but finally just used the
"notched clothespin" solution..

All,

  Thanks to Mikes board and Wayne's magic work, my Mod 33 ASR is
successfully talking to a computer.  I'm trying to do an outreach with it
and one ideal thing is to punch out kids names on the papertape.  That being
said, it isn't clear that there is a control to tell it not to print while
punching or am I missing something simple?

 

Any and all suggestions/insight are welcome.
