So far as I know the Teletype Club officials were regular employees who
were allowed some of their at-work time to administer the club affairs.
I don't think there were any paid just to operate the club.  And maybe
they did most of their club work outside their normal working hours for
no extra pay.  I think the company did pay for things like the picnic,
and they made space in the factory for a garden store and the ham radio
club, well I don't know how much the company spent on the club in what
ways.  And the company subsidized the cost of food at the cafeteria
and ran the cafeterias rather than contracting it out.
