Does anyone know much about this Telepals marketing scheme? Were those
pictures of people on the stickers actual operators-- did operators
exchange them as a sort of QSL card type thing? I'm guessing printing
individualized stickers for thousands of operators would have been very
expensive in those days, so probably not. Maybe it was more of a marketing
ploy with a different "Telepal" for each year, sort of like collecting
baseball cards but for communications nerds...?
