The way it is listed, I take that the paper is not made with any recycled content.  In other words, all new material is used to make it.

In short: In spite of what the listing says, it has got to be recyclable, and it's definitely not for thermal printers.

This is the exact same paper I ordered a while back from CleanIt Supply when it was a bit cheaper (I know it's the same because it's the same catalog number, PM06210). In spite of the description mentioning that it's for thermal printers, I can assure you that it is not for thermal printers. Sure, maybe it fits some thermal printers, but it would be useless in them since it's just regular paper.

 

I'm also not sure why it wouldn't be considered recyclable because there's nothing special about it-- it seems like basic paper to me. It almost has the same texture as newsprint, though maybe just a bit thicker. I have put plenty of this stuff in the recycle bin, so if it's not recyclable the sorters I'm sure have had a fun time extracting it (I've wondered if they ever think about what they're sorting and why all this typewritten continuous feed paper keeps coming down the line). Since the listing also states that it is for thermal printers, I wouldn't trust it when it states it's not recyclable. I sometimes wonder if distributors even know what they're selling to people half the time and if they just make up details about an item to ensure it sells to the widest group of people as possible.

 

CleanIt Supply's price used to be under $6.00 each plus shipping, which I think ended up being around $6.80 per roll with shipping when I bought twelve. They've jacked up the price now, so it's good to know about this other supplier.
