Characters printed in upper-case mode varied with different systems, 
especially TELEX. (The fact that the table says "Western Union" implies 
it is a TELEX machine, not on the AT&T/Bell TWX network.)

So the extra characters shown on some of the keys are what would print 
out on other machines.

A nice machine, too bad it is in poor shape. But repairable if someone 
wants to put the time into it. (and the owner comes down in price when 
he realizes what it is really worth.)
