[GreenKeys] need to get rid of teletype collection

Hi all,

I have been off the forum for several years now due to health reasons. I no longer have the energy or strength to use, enjoy or horse around teletype gear. I have a Model 15 mail box that I rescued from a meth-head scrapper and a "flash Cadillac" model 28 that was given to me my a long time member of the forum when he lived in the Kansas City area. I also have a tape printing unit meant for a test station, a printing reperf and several other accessories. I simply cannot use these things any more and wish for them to have a good home. They have lived inside my home, in a climate (humidity) controlled environment, and have been well oiled and well taken care of. Most work, but one of the tape readers has a 100 wpm gear rather than a 60, so it transmits gibberish to a normal 60 WPM machine.

If anyone wants them, please let me know. I can not ship or transport them. You will need to take all of them. No cherry picking. I will take no money for them, as most were given to me. If you are in the KC area or are willing to travel here and have the means to haul them away, you are welcome to them. I only want them to have a good home and not be scrapped. That is the only thing that I will ask is that you do not scrap them when you are finished with them, but pass them on to the next Teletype enthusiast, hopefully someone a little younger than me who can enjoy them longer than I did.

Ultimately, I will be moving to the east coast to some long held family property in southern MD for the last part of my physical existence on old Terra. I have had loads of fun using, collecting, finding and learning about these wonderful machines. I have met a lot of good people who have given me parts, machines and advice. I have enjoyed many meetings with people on the list, even SK if you know who I mean. I will continue to scan the forum, but with the time that I have left, I have some really important things to do like spend time with my family, cats, dogs and friends.

I have divested myself of all of my ham radio gear, antennas, and the like; and I have also gotten rid of and placed into good hands most of my radiation gear that I have accumulated over the years. I am simply in the phase of life where I am simplifying and looking to lay on the beach and spend the nice days flying a kite or listening to music and reading. The time of having to "do" in order to satisfy innate curiosity is over for me. This is in no way maudlin, in fact, this is a happy and good part of my life. I get to lay back and watch with great satisfaction my loved ones get on with life and enjoy their successes. I can hear the ocean already, and look forward to these things.
