GM OMS;
I've been used 10W-30 for 50 years.
Twice a year (usually when it's time to change the roll)
I take the print mechanism out, take it outside, put it
on a big plastic bag and oil the heck out of it with one
of those little silver oil cans. When it's finished dripping
oil, I wipe the magnet level off, give it a quick wipe with
an old towel, and put it back on the base.
That might not be such a good thing to do in a continuous
service environment, but as a ham it's worked for 50 years.
YMMV
