I was able to put my 35-KSR in the living room because
it matched the paint so well (that it didn't stand out).

I dunno about having the PDP-8 in the living room: my
Data General NOVA 1200 had a couple of serious fans in it
and the noise would not have gone over well with my wife.
The 2 BIG computers (towers) are in the living room - in the
cabinet that the stereo equipment is in - so they aren't that
noisy. They're on 24x7 so we don't even hear them.
