Who said there's no such thing as a π² ?

Sorry, but I didn't have a can of Fosters to hand (and I hate the bloody
stuff anyway!). Note the CRO (doesn't everyone have one on their dining
table? But I am divorced...), the insect-repellent (essential in Oz), the
debugger atop the Akubra-bearing laptop (with our flag that also bears the
flag of a foreign nation), and the essential condiments (I find that the
WD-40 adds that extra "zing" to the dead dog's eye); I'm one of the bods
(not saying which!) doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb in the 80s.

Go into any Aussie pub (and the more fair dinkum the better i.e. at least
two cows' skulls on the wall behind the bar, a stockwhip over the door, a
dunny out the back, and a row of utes parked outside; horses optional) and
ask for a "dead dog's eye with blood", and you'll get our national snack.

Unless, of course, you hear funny yelping sounds emanating from somewhere
out the back and the pub pooch has suddenly gone missing...

Which reminds me (the Aussie snack I mean, not the dead dog):

Jeff, I'm still waiting for your address so I can send you a jar of
Vegemite (but I'll have to lie on the Customs declaration form and attest
that there is nothing dangerous inside).

And was it Ralph who wanted to send me a Southerner note? I'll send you a
gen-yoo-in Aussie plastic $5 note (our smallest note) in return (currently
worth US$3.937389212 give or take a few microcents, so don't spend it all
at once), and you get to spot all the anti-counterfeit and
optically-challenged features[*].

[*]
At least our notes are all different sizes and colours; I can't tell you
what the $50 and $100 notes (latter to be withdrawn because of forgeries)
look like because I rarely see them :-)
