Well, yesterday I ended up using mineral sprints (with some 3-in1 mixed in).  Interesting stuff.  They now make it eco-friendly (was not aware of it when I bought the can)… looks clear wet, dries white in spots.  Ah well, it took care of most of the grime.  I think I’ll wait until next winter, when the weather is bad, to get things polished up all nicely.

Last cleaning question... what would folks recommend for cleaning the case?  The case is matte black.  I was thinking of some warm, soapy water… but if there’s something better out there for that type of metal, I’m all ears!  Cheers!
